  • Consultations with independent Medical Practitioners;

  • Prescriptions, supplements, and therapy services facilitated through the Platform;

DEFINITIONS

  • Company / Menopause Asia: Menopause Asia Sdn Bhd (Registration No. 202501017034 (1618448-X)), a company incorporated in Malaysia.

  • Medical Practitioners: Independent licensed physicians engaged to provide teleconsultations and prescriptions through the Platform. Menopause Asia Sdn Bhd does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment and acts solely as a facilitator.

  • Personal Data: Information that identifies you as an individual, such as your name, contact details, medical information, payment information, and other related data.

3. 

PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT

We may collect the following categories of Personal Data:
 

  • Contact Information: Name, email, phone number, billing/shipping address.

  • Demographic Information: Date of birth, age, gender.

  • Health & Medical Data: Symptoms, medical history, prescriptions, therapy-related notes, and supplements information (as provided to Medical Practitioners).

  • Payment Information: Transaction records, billing information.

  • Technical Information: Device details, IP address, browser type, cookies, and usage data.

HOW WE COLLECT DATA

  • Directly from you when you register, book consultations, or communicate with us.

  • Through your interactions with the Platform (cookies, usage tracking).

  • From independent Medical Practitioners following your consultations.

  • From third parties such as pharmacies, labs, or suppliers (for prescription or supplement fulfilment).

5. 

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

We use Personal Data to:
 

  • Facilitate your access to healthcare services, including consultations, therapy, prescriptions, and supplements from independent Medical Practitioners.

  • Manage your account and process payments.

  • Improve the Platform and user experience.

  • Communicate with you about services, updates, and events (with your consent).

  • Comply with legal or regulatory requirements.

  • Generate anonymised and aggregated data to produce insights, case studies, or reports (e.g. symptom trends, programme effectiveness). Such data does not identify individual users.

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR DATA

We may share Personal Data with:
 

  • Medical Practitioners: Independent licensed physicians for consultations, prescriptions, and follow-ups. These Medical Practitioners are solely responsible for the advice and treatment they provide.

  • Pharmacies and Suppliers: Such as Aegle Pharma, for fulfilment of prescriptions and supplements.

  • Service Providers: IT, analytics, hosting, or payment processing vendors.

  • Legal & Regulatory Authorities: As required by law.

     

We do not sell your data to third parties.

7. 

DATA STORAGE & TRANSFERS

  • Data provided through the Platform is stored securely on Practice Better, a third-party electronic health records (EHR) provider.

  • Servers are located in Canada and the United States. While not stored in Malaysia, we take all reasonable steps to ensure compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

  • Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

8. 

DATA RETENTION

We retain your Personal Data only for as long as necessary to:
 

  • Fulfil the purposes outlined in this Policy;

  • Comply with applicable laws;

  • Maintain business records; or

  • Resolve disputes and enforce agreements.

YOUR RIGHTS UNDER PDPA

You have the right to:
 

  • Access and obtain a copy of your Personal Data;

  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;

  • Withdraw consent to processing (subject to limitations);

  • Request deletion of Personal Data (subject to legal requirements).

SECURITY OF YOUR DATA

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your Personal Data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Platform is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from individuals under 18.
