These Consultations Are Designed To Help You Better Understand Your Symptoms And Explore Potential Care Options.

Starting hormone therapy can feel like a big step — especially when your symptoms are unclear, your tests look normal, or you’re still searching for answers.

Menopause Asia connects women in midlife to licensed physicians experienced in menopause care. These consultations are designed to help you better understand your symptoms and explore potential care options — which may include hormone therapy if considered appropriate by your doctor.

Here’s what to expect when you book your first consultation:

Step 1: Book Your Virtual Visit

Once you book your session, you’ll complete a Health Intake Form — a detailed, doctor-reviewed questionnaire covering:

  • Your symptoms and menstrual history

  • Previous diagnoses, medications, or hormone use

  • Family medical history and cancer risk

  • Sleep, stress, energy, and libido patterns

This information helps your doctor assess your stage of perimenopause or menopause and determine what care options to discuss with you.

Step 2: Meet Your Doctor

Your 30–40 minute video consultation is with a licensed physician trained in midlife care. During your session, your doctor will:

  • Review your health form and symptoms

  • Discuss your health goals and lifestyle

  • Outline potential options, which may include personalised hormone therapy if appropriate

If personalised hormone therapy is prescribed, treatment may involve:

  • Transdermal preparations (e.g., creams for estrogen and testosterone)

  • Oral micronised progesterone

  • Vaginal estrogen for specific genitourinary concerns

All treatments are prepared based on your doctor’s prescription and are not mass-produced.

Step 3: Receive Your Medications (If Prescribed)

If your doctor prescribes treatment, it will be:

  • Prepared and dispensed by a licensed Malaysian compounding pharmacy

  • Made using active pharmaceutical ingredients sourced from suppliers that meet international standards (such as Medisca)

  • Delivered to your doorstep with clear instructions for use

Treatments are typically dispensed on a 2-month cycle and shipped automatically unless you choose to pause or cancel.

Step 4: Ongoing Monitoring & Follow-Up

If you’re prescribed hormone therapy, your doctor may schedule follow-up reviews to monitor your progress. Typically, this includes:

  • A review within 3 months after your first prescription

  • Additional reviews approximately every 6 months, or as advised by your doctor

These reviews help ensure your treatment plan remains appropriate over time.
